Life Transformed

The Short Version

Caleb Altmeyer is a Christian leader, husband, father, speaker, and community advocate with more than 15 years of nonprofit and ministry executive experience. He is the Founder and CEO of Helping Captives, a leading anti-trafficking organization in the Pacific Northwest, and the host of the Transforming Communities podcast.

Since founding the ministry, Caleb has led teams that introduced thousands to Jesus, walked alongside over 500 survivors, and raised millions for Kingdom initiatives. He partners with federal and local law enforcement … including the FBI, Homeland Security, and local police departments … in the fight against human trafficking.

He also founded Bikers Helping Captives, a motorcycle ministry raising trafficking awareness and sharing the hope of Christ, and serves as Chaplain for the Spokane Shock.

The Real Story

Caleb's story doesn't start on a stage. It starts in the valley. A high school dropout battling addiction, his life was heading in one direction … and it wasn't good. But in 2007, everything changed. An encounter with God radically transformed Caleb's life, turning a man who was lost into a man on a mission.

That transformation didn't make him soft … it made him dangerous to the things that destroy people. Caleb took his experience in the darkest places and channeled it into fighting for those still trapped. He founded Helping Captives to provide 24-hour emergency stabilization care for trafficking survivors … one of the few organizations in the region offering that level of immediate response.

In one of his boldest moves, Caleb led the acquisition and transformation of a former strip club … the Deja Vu in Spokane … into the Freedom Center, a new headquarters for Helping Captives. A place that once exploited people is becoming a sanctuary of healing and hope. As volunteer Cory DeYoung put it: "Something that was considered a stain on this community... it's going to be beautiful."

Caleb speaks at business conferences, faith events, and leadership gatherings nationwide. He speaks candidly about protecting women and children, the critical role parents play by being present in their kids' lives, and why awareness, connection, and courage can literally save lives.
